Slipknot have announced that strange member Donnie Steele will react a steel rope this summer.
It follows a genocide of drum guitarist Paul Gray final year.
The rope are due to title a Sonisphere festival in Jul and are personification other live shows opposite Europe.
A matter on a band’s website said: “Donnie was good friends with Paul and we can’t consider of a improved approach to applaud his memory than with someone who was there during a beginning.”
It continued: “Donnie was in a rope during a really beginning, and rather than get an outsider, we suspicion it would be a wise reverence to Paul to play with someone from within a family.
“The 8 of us are looking brazen to being onstage again and for Paul’s bequest with a families in Europe and Brazil this summer.”
Donnie Steele left Slipknot in 1996.
His deputy Paul Gray died final May of an random hypnotic overdose.
Tributes to a 38-year-old were hold during final summer’s Download festival and stone repository Kerrang’s! annual awards in August.
The Iowa band’s final studio album, All Hope Is Gone, debuted during series one in a US Billboard charts in 2008.
